Welcome to Ashford Farm, just 3 miles from Ludlow, and the perfect base from which to explore the Welsh Marches.
Shropshire, the undiscovered county, was described by P G Wodehouse as 'the nearest earthly approach to paradise' and the jewel in the county is Ludlow, a gastronomic delight with its Michelin starred restaurants and many other excellent pubs and places to eat. The imposing castle is a reminder of the town's historic importance. Still an active market town, its half timbered buildings and fine Georgian houses cannot fail to impress.
Attractions: Acton Scott Working Farm and Museum, site of the 'Victorian Farm' TV series. The West Midland Safari Park & Severn Valley Railway.
National Trust: Easy day trips include Croft Castle (and Ambrey), Berrington Hall, Brockhampton Estate, Hanbury Hall, Attingham Park, Dudmaston Hall and the unmissable Powys Castle.
English Heritage: Stokesay Castle, Witley Court & gardens, Boscobel House, Wroxeter Roman City, Wenlock Priory and Ironbridge Gorge a World Heritage Site of interest to all.
Beauty Spots for walking: Mortimer Forest, the Long Mynd and Cardingmill Valley (NT), the Stiperstones, Clee Hill & Wenlock Edge.

Converted from a barn in 2005, Well Meadow has a central farm location with views across fields to Clee Hill and a large secure garden (adjacent to a stream) with a wide patio following two sides of the cottage. Parking is at the rear and so guests mostly use the back door which enters through the utility into the kitchen diner with french doors onto the patio. Internal french doors lead into the spacious lounge, fully glazed along one side, with its beamed ceiling, woodburning stove and 40’’ TV. Again there are french doors leading onto the patio. There is a guest cloakroom with loo and washbasin off the hall. Upstairs the en suite master bedroom has a king size bed and wall mounted TV. The more compact twin room is also en suite.

Threshers is the cottage on the right, in the main image of Grazers, Calvers and Threshers, with the gable end showing. Like Grazers & Calvers it too has its own front driveway with parking for two cars. Internally it is very similar to Grazers. Off the hall the cosy lounge has an open fire and 40’’TV. The kitchen/diner leads via french doors to the conservatory. There is a ground floor cloakroom with loo and washbasin. Upstairs are three bedrooms, an en suite double, a twin (with TV) and a single. The bathroom has a spa bath and there are integrated units for the washbasin & loo in both bathroom and en suite. Behind the cottage the patio, with furniture and gas barbecue, is accessed via french doors from the conservatory. The large lawn is surrounded by shrubs and the garden is fenced all round for total security.

Approached by a gravel driveway, the cottage has a sun-trap courtyard with a large patio and shrub beds on the south side. A second patio and lawn at the rear, which catches the evening sun, overlooks a stream, pond and dingle, replanted 2011/2012. Internally the large lounge with 40’’TV has a woodburning stove and external french doors to the front and rear. Internal french doors lead to the kitchen/diner with a separate utility room leading to the rear patio. Off the hall is a guest cloakroom with toilet and washbasin. All three bedrooms are en-suite with the master room having a superior en-suite with spa bath. All furniture is oak. The whole cottage is at ground level and so there are no stairs. Ample parking for three cars.

Calvers is the cottage in the middle of the terrace of three. Like Grazers & Threshers it has its own front driveway with parking for two cars but internally it is quite different. To the left of the hall the kitchen/diner seats six with ease. To the right the long lounge has an open fire, a comfortable Parker Knoll suite and a 40" TV. The lounge leads via french doors to the conservatory which is in the style of a garden room with solid walls and a translucent roof, ideal for reading when the weather isn’t quite good enough to sit outside. Off the hall is a ground floor cloakroom with loo and washbasin. Upstairs is a bathroom plus three bedrooms, an en-suite double with TV, a twin and a single room (this single room has a hideaway bed so that it converts into small twin enabling the cottage to sleep six).To the rear of the cottage the patio, with furniture and a gas barbecue, is accessed through french doors from the conservatory. The lawn has shrubs on either side creating a private area and the garden is fenced all round so that it is totally secure.
