Set within our own 56 acres of glorious Devon countryside Colehouse Farm is the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday with breathtaking countryside and far reaching views. Colehouse Farm is an excellent location for just enjoying the surroundings or exploring the attractions the area has to offer like Dartmoor to the south or the stunning rugged north coast and easy reach of great locations such as the Eden Project.
All our cottages have been beautifully restored to a high standard with a careful blend of modern comforts and old world charm. In East and West Colehouse there are original flagstone floors downstairs, inglenook fireplaces and oak beams throughout. Whereas the Shippon has a more contemporary feel to it with luxury Bamboo flooring and hand crafted oak doors. Each cottage has full central heating, spacious and comfortable rooms with vaulted ceilings in bedrooms, quality furniture; wide screen digital TV with Freeview, Blu-Ray DVD and a CD radio. All have fully fitted kitchens with country style cookers, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and a washer/dryer. There is a selection books and board games and a large private garden for each cottage, with a barbecue and wooden garden furniture.
Shippon (Sleeps 2 + cot)
A welcoming entrance hall which leads though into large open plan kitchen/diner and sitting room. Luxury shower room with large shower and plenty of space for the less able guests. One bedroom with a king size bed. Good size decked garden with fantastic views down the valley. All on one level and ideal either on its own for couples or in addition for larger families using either East or West Colehouse for family gatherings etc.
West Colehouse Cottage (sleeps 4 + cot)
Entrance hall with seating, sitting room with inglenook fireplace and wood burner, large kitchen/dining room with a range cooker, 2 bedrooms, 1 with king size bed and en suite bathroom; one with 2 single beds, a family bathroom with bath and shower.
East Colehouse cottage (sleeps 6 + cot)
Kitchen with range cooker and separate laundry room, dining room with oak table seating 10, an inglenook fireplace with large wood burner, sitting room with inglenook and wood burner, and additional small sitting room with inglenook and wood burner. Upstairs are 3 large bedrooms, 1 with king size bed and en suite bathroom, 1 double and one with 2 single beds, a family bathroom and separate shower room.
Colehouse Farm (Sleeps 10 + cots)
By combining both East and West Colehouse, larger parties can benefit from being able to utilise the facilities of both cottages and all dine together in East where the main dining room can comfortably seat 10 or more guests together round a beautiful oak rectory dining table. Both kitchens have large range cookers and all the facilities of home. This is ideal for wedding parties, family gatherings, Christmas and New Year get together. The Shippon can also be booked to take the whole site and includes a property ideal for two additional less able guests with all facilities on the ground floor.

East Colehouse has two large luxury double bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, one with an en-suite bathroom and king-size bed and the other with a lovely four-poster double bed, along with these there is also an additional large twin bedroom with 3' single beds. The oak dining table can seat twelve with ease providing a lovely place for family meals, complete with a large wood burning stove. The kitchen is very well equipped, with a range cooker and all mod-cons. The large sitting room has a wood burner and plenty of sofas to relax into and in addition there is also a lovely snug with its own large wood burning stove. There is a large private terrace with a wonderful view across the valley below with ample hardwood furniture and a barbecue.

West Colehouse has high vaulted ceilings in the bedrooms with exposed stone and oak in abundance. The two bedrooms, one x 6’ double and one twin, are both with en-suite and the well equipped Pine kitchen, includes a range cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer . The private west facing garden and terrace has wonderful views of the unspoilt valley, hardwood garden furniture and a barbecue. The sitting room has a wood burning stove, comfy sofas and a slate floor, the exposed stonework and original walls have been carefully retained. In addition to the large garden there is a children’s play area set up with large football net, croquet lawn and cricket for use by our guests.
