Set in the beautiful Lune Valley, which lies between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, Mill House Cottages have been lovingly renovated to create luxury accommodation in a breathtaking fellside setting. These 17th century cottages were originally textile workers dwellings based on an old cottage industry at Millbeck, which still flows down through the grounds to the River Lune.
The situation is simply stunning. The cottages nestle within beautiful hills and are surrounded by amazing views and tumbling streams. These idyllic properties, which offer peace and tranquility in unspoilt countryside, are set at the end of a private drive that leads directly onto 10,000 acres of open fell - home to peregrine falcons and red deer. It is a magical place to relax. Each cottage has its own enclosed garden area with barbecue and garden furniture, making the perfect spot to take in the amazing views over the valley. In the winter, with the log fire burning, the cottages provide a cosy and welcoming retreat. The cottages also enjoy the use of full laundry facilities and a drying room in which to store bikes and outdoor gear.
The vibrant market town of Kirkby Lonsdale with its independent shops, bars, restaurants and golf courses, is a ten minute drive away and the cottages are situated on the border of the Yorkshire Dales.
Incredibly, given this solitude and tranquility, the M6 motorway is only 15 minutes away and you can be in the Lake District within half an hour.
