Orwell View Barns nestle at the end of a private country lane in a tranquil, idyllic setting on our 700 acre conservation award winning farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty but are still only 20 minutes from the A14.
These attractive eco ground floor buildings were converted in 2010 into three, very comfortable, holiday retreats sleeping from 2 up to 6 + cots. Primrose barn has a dining table large enough to seat 12. Alternatively, you can eat out on the large deck with glorious views across the Orwell. Each barn is beautifully decorated with reclaimed brickwork, vaulted ceilings and chandeliers, and has its own enclosed courtyard/garden.
Local, fully qualified Cordon Bleu chef, who will host dinner parties or provide ready meals using local ingredients.
There is also a large games barn, a grass area for football and games for the kids and fishing for roach in our dykes and pond.
Step out of your barn and you have immediate access to our 700 acre farm (our working farmyard is elsewhere), riverbank walks past hidden creeks to the Butt & Oyster pub at Pin Mill and to Shotley Marina, the South Suffolk Cycle route B and internationally acclaimed bird watching sites. Over 100 different species of bird have been spotted on the farm, marshes and estuary. Come and see if you can spot them!
Further afield, Woodbridge is a pretty market town, close to Sutton Hoo. The barns are convenient for Constable Country, the Heritage coast and Colchester while Cambridge is an hour away by car.
If you are looking for accommodation for London 2012, we are 45 minutes by train to Stratford International station, under 1 hour by car from London Stansted airport and 5 miles from the kayaking and canoeing training camp at Alton Water.

Open plan sitting/dining room/kitchen, three bedrooms (two en suite & 1 family bathroom) which can be either 3' single beds or 6' superking double beds.
