Set in 10 acres of beautiful wooded grounds, the tranquil Penhaven Country Cottages provide a perfect base to kick back, relax and enjoy everything the region has to offer - great beaches nearby, spectacular scenery and sightseeing. Plus plenty of activities including fishing, horse riding, walking and surfing - a holiday to suit everyone.
Each of the six cottages have been individually furnished to create a feeling of warmth and relaxation. Care and attention to detail ensure that your holiday cottage choice will give you the perfect holiday. A careful use of colours provide a feeling of peace and tranquility.
Beech Tree Cottage, Monkey Tree Cottage and Well Cottage each have 3 bed rooms with one being the Master bedroom with king size bed and ensuite shower room. These cottages have oil fired central heating and the main bathroom boasts underfloor heating. They each have their own private garden to enjoy the peaceful countryside setting and a barbeque and garden furniture are provided to make the most of those glorious long summer days. Each has a private garden gate that leads through to the glorious grounds of the Penhaven Estate which is available for guests to explore.
Yew Tree Cottage is entered through a delightful stable door and offers a fabulous open plan living area with two double bedrooms and shower room on the first floor.
Bay Tree is a charming ground floor one bed roomed cottage with its own special private garden.
Willow Cottage is an elegant one bed roomed cottage with a lovely open plan kitchen lounge area.
A two minute walk leads you to ‘The Bell’ which is a delightful Devon public house offering a spendid menu choice.
Within 3 miles of Penhaven is the amazing National Trust owned ‘Peppercombe’ beach which is certainly worth the walk and the stunning village of Clovelly is less than 8 miles away – also owned by the National Trust.
The nearest town is Bideford with all of its wonderful delights and that is under 7 miles away.
A trip over to Lundy Island on the ferry is an exciting advanture to enjoy and this can be done from Bideford and Clovelly.
Also welll worth a visit is Hartland Point, Instow, Appledore, Torrington – all within 10 miles of Penhaven. For the Children local attractions include ‘The Big Sheep’ at Bideford and the Atlantis Adverture Park which is conveniently situated ajoining North Devons premier retail outlet ‘Atlantic Village.
