The Bothy at Orchard Walls is situated 1.5 miles from the historic village of Traquair and the oldest inhabited house in Scotland, three miles from Innerleithen (nearest shops, restaurants and pub) and 9 miles from the pretty Border town of Peebles.
There is plenty to see and do in this beautiful and historic region. Walking, fishing, golfing, horse riding, mountain biking or more leisurely cycling are all popular. Edinburgh is only an hour’s drive away.
Originally a farm worker’s bothy in the 18th century, the Bothy at Orchard Walls has been completely reconstructed and fully modernised retaining the magnificent stone fireplace which now houses a wood burning stove.
Facilities include a double bedroom with king size or twin beds, lounge/dining room with television, video, DVD and CD player, bathroom with full size bath and power shower and a compact but fully equipped kitchen. The property is centrally heated throughout.
Guests enjoy a private patio with wonderful views up the glen. A gas-fired barbecue is available.
