Our two romantic cottages for two provide heart warming luxury in a tranquil rural setting; the perfect retreat for couples - or people holidaying solo - who need to escape the stresses and strains of the real world, but still need that world's comforts and pleasures.
Generously furnished and thoughtfully equipped with masses of 'little extras', both our holiday cottages provide an instant home from home; but a home where you have no responsibilities other than to relax and enjoy yourself as you plan the next walk - or your visit to Chatsworth - or that gourmet meal together ...
The wow factor is evident the minute you open the front door. The final magic ingredient is the idyllic Peak Park setting. We face south down a sheltered valley, next to farmland and wooded slopes; there are wonderful walks in every direction - and a mere six-minute stroll through the picturesque village of Parwich to the friendly local pub.

Douglas’s Barn has a more contemporary feel than Tom's Barn. Much of its unique charm comes from the odd shapes and quirky angles of the old building, which provide a striking backdrop for the modern five star glass, stainless steel and leather 'luxury' within. There are original paintings by local artists downstairs, while a subtle trace of Africa is to be found upstairs (where, incidentally, the extra long bed is a boon for taller people!). Power shower over whirlpool bath.
A recent guest described Douglas's Barn as 'a wonderfully calm and peaceful place.”

Tom’s Barn exudes a warm, welcoming cosy atmosphere, combined with a sense of airiness and space. With its beams, original wooden lintels, log burner and pine kitchen it is more ‘farmhousey’ than Douglas’s Barn.
The low roof truss in the bedroom, the deep two-seater whirlpool bath, the enormous south-facing window, our Australian son-in-law’s paintings high up on the walls... all make it quite special.
‘Tom’s Barn really does have the ‘wow’ factor 110%.'
Well-behaved dogs welcome. Log burner – unlimited logs.
