16 cottages set around a lovely lake in 10 acre woodland grounds. Ideal for families and groups, large and small. Each stone holiday cottage has everything on hand for a relaxing break in the immensely popular Peak District.

Cottages sleep from 4 to 9 guests and up to 102 in total. Each is kept exceptionally well and feature contemporary interiors with a luxury feel. Kitchens and bathrooms are modern and well equipped and all linen is included along with central heating and hot water.

Darwin Lake sits between craggy moorland with lovely panoramic views and the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site. There are many attractions locally including Chatsworth House, Peak Steam Railway, Gulliver’s Kingdom, Alton Towers Theme Park and Carsington Watersports centre.

Riding, golf and Matlock’s shops, galleries, inns and restaurants 3 miles. Villages shops and good pubs 2 miles, local inn within walking distance.

Ashover, Beeley, Farley, Hartington, Hopton & Wensley All sleep 6 in a combination of kingsize and twin rooms with one bedroom on the ground floor. All bedrooms have either traditional en-suite or wet room/shower rooms. The living/kitchen and dining areas are open plan with modern fully fitted kitchens and appliances. Farley and Hartington will take a well behaved dog.

Hassop sleeps 9 in a combination of kingsize and twin rooms. This 3 storey cottage is perfect for the larger family. Open plan living/kitchen and dining. One bedroom on the ground floor with separate shower room/wc. Two further en-suite bedrooms on the 1st floor. An additional en-suite bedroom on the 2nd floor.

Elvaston, Ilam, Peveril, Eyam & Tissington Cottages All sleep 4. Ground floor – open plan living/dining room with door to patio and modern fully fitted kitchen area with tiled floor. Separate WC.
First floor – double bedroom with en-suite shower room/WC, twin bedded room, bathroom/WC with shower attachment. All have fridge/freezers.

Haddon, Chatsworth, Kedleston & Hardwick Cottages All sleep 6 (Chatsworth & Hardwick can sleep 7). Entrance hall, spacious living room, modern fully fitted kitchen/ dining room (some with downstairs cloakroom/WC).
All have two double en-suite bedrooms, one twin bedroom and a separate bathroom, except Haddon, which has one double, one twin and one bunk bedded room, all en-suite. Fridge/freezers. Dishwashers.
