Set in the delightful and historic small town of Sedbergh, Fell House is a well-converted warehouse close to the town centre. Sedbergh is in Cumbria, but part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, so there is easy access to either the dales or the lakes. Don’t miss the less well known Howgills though; they offer beautiful walking and riding country, with walks starting from the front door of Fell House.
Sedbergh itself is unspoilt and has some wonderful shops that really must be visited. There are three pubs, and the best one is just 50 metres from Fell House. They serve very good food, or if you want something “to go”, you can choose between the chippie, the Indian or the Chinese. All this within a few minutes walk of Fell House.
When Fell House was converted it was done with an eye to style and interest. The House occupies the ground and first floors and has spacious accommodation for 8. The flat on the lower ground floor is cosy and ideal for a couple or small family. Put them together and you can get a single property that can sleep 10 in normal beds, with this number rising to 16 if you are prepared to use futons and a sofa bed.

Fell House provides a luxurious base within a converted Victorian warehouse. The House at Fell House is a very spacious property, with plenty of room for a large group of 16 to eat and socialise. Indeed the kitchen/dining room is the high-point of The House, with its ceiling rising to the eaves. The whole of the ground floor of The House is open plan, but contains an enclosed stairwell in the centre. Clever use of doors enable part of this floor to be used as a fourth bedroom containing a double bed. If required there is also a futon; raising the number of guests that can be accommodated in The House from 8 to 10. |
