Scolton Home Farm once formed part of the 18th century country estate of Scolton.

The original farm buildings form a large courtyard now converted into 10 holiday cottages, each self contained. Ideally situated for exploring and discovering the many faces of the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire. Whether this is your first visit to Pembrokeshire, or if like some of our guests you just keep coming back for more, Scolton is the perfect base to start and end your day however you may choose to spend it. With 185 miles of the magnificent Pembrokeshire Coast path to walk, numerous castles and historic buildings, miles of breathtaking coastline made up of tiny coves and stretches of golden sand for sun lovers or those with an interest in marine life. Enjoy days out at Oakwood or Groveland theme parks, the chocolate farm, the cheese makers or many of the arts and craft centres.

Scolton is surrounded by farmland and woodland and yet only a ten minute drive from the County town of Haverfordwest with its castle, Farmers’ Market and riverside shops. Fishguard, St Davids, Tenby, Cardigan and the ever-changing Preseli Mountains, where sheep and wild ponies roam, are all within easy reach. Fishermen, golfers, walkers, wildlife enthusiast and horse riders will all find somewhere to pursue their interest no more than half an hour away.

For those wishing to relax they need not go far. There are the woodland walks around Scolton Country Park to which there is direct access. There is a wealth of wildlife, the museum, adventure playground, coffee shop, gift shop and of course, the Manor house itself telling the history of Scolton. The park is the venue for various events throughout the year – Proms in the Park, The Vintage Car show, the Model Aircraft show, and visits from the Sealed Knot Society.

At the farm there are picnic tables and benches dotted in sunny and shady spots, where you can sit and read or just take in the countryside. Watch the ducks and moorhens on our large duck pond, (fenced). There is a children’s play area, and space to kick a ball or fly a kite. We have goats and ponies.

Start or end your day with a swim in our indoor heated pool with its steam room, sauna and west facing patio, where you can enjoy a barbeque and watch the sunset over Plumstone Mountain.

All the cottages have open plan kitchen/dining living areas. They are comfortable and well equipped. Each has electric oven, 4-ring gas hob, fridge, microwave, TV and freeview box. All bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor and all have bath with shower. The cottages are centrally heated so provide cosy accommodation at any time of the year. Beds are made up for your arrival. All cottages except Dairy have direct access onto the courtyard, a safe place for children to play and families to gather. Each cottage has its own picnic table.

There is a communal utility room with coin operated washing machine, tumble dryer, large deep freeze, payphone, tourist information – even spare wellies and colouring books. The properties are maintained and overseen by the owners who live on site.
