Romantic 18th Century cottages in idyllic setting, Treworgey Cottages – established in 1977.

Treworgey (which means farmstead above the water) is magnificently positioned enjoying breath-taking views over the Looe Valley to the river below and the pretty fishing port of Looe in the distance. Near the sea and surrounded by patchwork fields, wild flower filled meadows and ancient bluebell woods, Treworgey is a haven for wild animals and birds – and humans looking for an instant and complete cure for stress!

The medieval Treworgey manor house was burnt down centuries ago. The ancient bakery and stables remain. The later Georgian farmhouse and its accompanying stone barns (first recorded on the 1840 tithe map) and the pretty Victorian farmworkers’ cottages, now form an enchanting hamlet of mellow stone.

Each individual cottage enjoys its own enclosed and very private English cottage garden and its own lawn and flower borders, while roses, honeysuckle or wisteria climb the cottage walls. Every cottage has a wonderful view.

Inside
Flagstone or wood floors, inglenook fireplaces and heavy beams are complimented with antiques, wool carpets and truly comfortable brass or romantic four-poster beds. Kitchens boast everything from dishwashers, washer/driers and fan ovens to food processors.

Stunning coastal scenery
Sapphire seas, patchwork fields and wildflowers adorn hedgerows. Picturesque Looe, Polperro, Fowey and sheltered Lantic bay are all within easy reach. The beautiful sheltered coves on our south coast are ideal for safe swimming, while the big surfing beaches of the north coast are only 50 minutes away by car.

Delicious home cooked meals
Can be ordered from our mouthwatering menu and delivered to your cottage – if you want a break from the kitchen while you are here. Choose from a wide variety of starters, main courses, light suppers, desserts and homemade cakes.

Honeymoons
We specialise in honeymoons – romantic one bedroom cottages with four poster beds, very private gardens and fantastic views.

Swimming
Swim in our beautifully landscaped and really warm pool with a view. There is an additional shallow heated kiddie’s pool for very young children.

Animal Farm
Ducks, chickens and friendly goats wandering the grounds create many a happy moment for children.

Tennis Court
All weather court with a view.

Golf

Fishing

Walking
We are spoilt for choice with the magnificent coastal path, wooded river paths and Bodmin moor all on our doorstep – plus wonderful walks from your garden gate.

A plethora of the best houses and gardens only 20 to 60 minutes away.

Riding
Treworgey has its own licensed riding school – only for our visitors. We cater for the complete novice to the more experienced with qualified instructors. Help is available with dressage, show jumping and eventing – or hacking in our beautiful countryside. If you are lucky enough to own your own horse, why not bring it?
