Staffield Hall is a glorious Victorian Manor House, originally built in 1848 for the beautiful bride Lady Jane Aglionby – and occupies a fabulous elevated setting with magnificent views over the surrounding rolling countryside of the Eden Valley. Staffield is hidden between the fells of the Lake District National Park to the West and the wild North Pennies to the East. It is a land of ancient kingdoms, Arthurian mythology and valiant kings. Hadrian’s wall is only just a few miles away as is the picturesque market town of Penrith, once the capital of Cumbria.
The hall has glorious features including the ‘Great Hall’ with a magnificently carved oak staircase and feature stained glass window. Staffield Hall places self catering in a league of its own.
The ground floor property ‘Manor Hall’ is prestigiously designed and furnished with impeccable style and elegance. It retains original architectural features with high ornate ceilings and intricate cornices. The views are stunning, overlooking terraced gardens and the Eden valley. Manor Hall has three spacious double bedrooms all en-suite, a sofa bed is also available.
The seven upper apartments have all been lovingly restored and are furnished to the highest standards. Four on the first floor; Lady Tower, Heaven Field, Garden of Eden and King Oswald are all spacious with a true Victorian elegance and command fine views down the gardens and the valley. The upper properties; Butlers Loft, Dove Cote & Peel Tower having a more contemporary loft style, formerly being the quarters for the staff at the hall, they have a cosy atmosphere and are equally special and spacious.
All of our properties are fitted out to the highest of standards, most are fitted with Jacuzzi baths, all have power showers, designer kitchens with microwaves, dishwashers, fan ovens and halogen hobs. The lounges have, flat screen LCD TVs. DVD/CD players. Broadband & telephone access is available with in your room. Beds range from 4'6'' to 6ft super king size and some have four poster beds, others can be made up as twins if required.
Groups can hire the entire hall allowing a maximum comfortable occupancy of 18. Staffield Hall is a very special venue for a small family gathering or a reunion with old friends.
