On the fringe of a village, in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, Ellerby View is a superb base for exploring both the moors and the beautiful rugged coastline. Whitby lies eight miles south, with the pretty cobbled fishing village of Staithes a mile away, and the beach at Runswick Bay half a mile. York and Scarborough are within easy reach, as are the historic buildings of Castle Howard, and Rievaulx Abbey to name but two.
Single storey, and luxuriously appointed the cottage ideally sleeps five, in three double bedded rooms (one being very small). The bathroom has bath, with separate shower, and the en-suite wet room a power shower. The sitting/dining room has rich mahogany furniture and stunning views over rolling countryside. The solid oak kitchen houses integral appliances including dishwasher, double electric oven with ceramic hob, washer, drier, fridge and microwave.
You’ll find all weather tennis courts in the village, and nearby, horse-riding, golf courses, swimming, fishing, sailing, a walker’s paradise, and of course sandcastle building! But if all this sounds too exhausting, there’s beautiful scenery, in which to simply relax and unwind.

Exceptionally well equipped the cottage is luxuriously appointed and ideally sleeps 5, in 3 double bedded rooms,(the third double being very small) The family bathroom has w.c. washbasin, bath and separate shower. The en-suite wet room has w.c. washbasin, and power shower. Detached, the cottage has private parking for 3 cars, gardens to the front, and a large private terrace overlooking rolling countryside to the rear. The fully equipped solid oak kitchen has integral double electric oven with ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave and T.V. The adjoining utility room houses the large integral fridge, washer and tumble dryer, and leads to the garage where the freezer, and heated drying area for walking boots and coats is located. |
