3 newly refurbished cottages in the stunning south Shropshire hills.
Our 32 acre small holding is situated at 1000ft in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the NE slopes of the Long Mynd, 4 miles from Church Stretton and 1/2 mile from Picklescott Village which boasts one of Shropshire's best pubs.
The cottages have been renovated from traditional farm buildings in the courtyard of the farmhouse and have recently been refurbished to an excellent standard, achieving 4 Star Gold with Visit Britain. They are all provided with Egyptian cotton linen, luxury towels, a selection of soap and shampoo, LCD televisions with a small library of films to choose from as well as tea, coffee, biscuits and flowers for your arrival. The kitchens are particularly well equipped for the keenest cooks. All the cottages have oil fired central heating. There is a shared laundry room with freezers and extra fridges provided. We have also created an excellent outside and undercover eating/patio area for all guests to use. Loungers and barbecues are provided.
There is a beautiful mature fishing lake stocked with carp, tench and golden orfe. The pool is stream fed and tucked away in the hills with spectacular views across the Long Mynd. We offer one day's free fishing with weekly lets.
As well as many hundreds of stunning walks in the area there are numerous attractions including Acton Scott Farm, as featured on television, many English Heritage and National Trust sites and historic market towns such as Ludlow and Much Wenlock.

The Barn is a very attractive timber framed 15th Century, grade two listed building. It has been beautifully refurbished and sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the ground floor with double bed. There is a large en suite bathroom with WC, bath, sink and separate shower unit. There are 2 staircases. At the top of one there is a twin bedroom and at the top of the other there is a double bedroom and bathroom opposite. On the ground floor there is a separate kitchen and then open plan living and dining area. |
