Experience elegant country style at Forest Barns, a farm of four detached 17th century stone barns in the peace and tranquillity of Soudley Valley close to Symonds Yat, Ross-on-Wye, and the cathedral city of Gloucester with its historic docks. Surrounded by acres of woodland, meadows, ponds and streams and wildlife; deer, badgers, foxes and wheeling buzzards, the barns are perfectly positioned for days out, or for luxuriously relaxing days in.
Meticulously converted by local craftsmen using lime mortar, local oak and natural stone flooring, the barns feature contemporary interior design with farmhouse oak dining tables, range cookers, luxurious stone bathrooms and Egyptian cotton linen and towels. The comfortingly warm ambiance created by the underfloor heating is courtesy of renewable resources from mother nature - ground and air, with harvested rainwater and log burners. A low carbon footprint is assured.
Away from the farm our guests can enjoy golf at the local courses, tour the vineyards and cider route – sampling along the way, or explore castles, swing through trees at Go Ape, canoe the Wye, shoot clays, horse ride or walk the Bluebell woods and the Daffodil Way. These are some of many choices!
Suitable for a romantic break for two, or fill the barns with friends and family. Guests can dine from our menu or visit local inns and restaurants.

There is a large extending oak farmhouse style dining table, ideal for gatherings of up to ten, a high oak vaulted sitting area, kitchen with range cooker, and a twin room with family bathroom.
