Together, these two cottages sleep up to 15 people - the ideal venue for a peaceful get-together. The Barn sleeps up to 11 in 5 en-suite bedrooms including one for wheelchair users. There is ample room in The Barn for guests from both cottages to dine and relax together.
The Stables sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and faces The Barn across a picturesque cobbled courtyard.
The cottages form part of a historic range of farm buildings, perched almost 1,000 feet above sea level and boast 6 acres of woodland, meadow and wildlife pond plus a large garden with seating, barbecues and climbing frame, also a well-equipped games room & toddlers playroom.
A short drive takes guests to historic market towns, picturesque villages and some of the finest countryside in Britain.

The Stables is the smaller of the two 180-year old farm buildings converted by Vicki & Steve in 1999. It can be hired on its own, or as an 'annexe' to The Barn. It's all on one level, though there is a step up to the front door, from the cobbled courtyard. There's an open plan living, dining and fitted kitchen area. The ceiling is the full height of the cottage, giving a spacious feeling. The two bedrooms (a double & a twin) are decorated in an individual style. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. |

The Barn is the larger of the two converted farm buildings. It's a luxurious conversion maintaining many of its original oak beams and stonework. The lounge has a soaring apex ceiling the full height of the barn, and has a comfortable, yet airy feeling. Please bring your own minstrels for the feature balcony. The large kitchen has a range-style electric oven and hob, and has all the usual equipment such as fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, dish washer. The dining room has a secret .. under the huge table top, there's a slate-bed pool table, for evening tournaments after the children have gone to bed. We welcome disabled guests; the ground floor twin bedroom has a 'wheel-in' shower and there's even a shower chair and toilet riser. The whole of the downstairs of the Barn is accessible to those who are less able. Stairs lead to the other four en-suite bedrooms, all of which are styled individually (1 double, 2 twins, 1 triple ). In the Games Room there's table-tennis, table football, pool & a dartboard (though for safety reasons we ask you to bring your own darts). Its here that you can help yourselves to videos & CDs. We don't have many DVDs yet, so please bring your own. There's a TV here, specially for use with games consoles and dance mats etc. Upstairs there's a playroom for under 5's. Outside there's ample parking for 10 + cars if parked carefully. In the garden there are picnic tables & a large wooden climbing frame. Children (of all ages) love to play hide and seek in the wood, and fly kites in the meadow. There are static and mobile barbecues. |
