Cheviot Holiday Cottages
Northumberland & Durham
A rare find - and haven of peace in a hectic world
You enter an entirely different world driving along our picturesque river valley towards the oasis of Ingram, a quiet and pretty hamlet nestling in the Cheviot foothills … and begin to relax immediately.
The luxurious Five Star accommodation provides a home from home and occupies an idyllic setting leading out into National Park country – a myriad of footpaths and bridleways with sheltered valleys, hidden waterfalls and dramatic hills, rich in wildlife and recent archaeological finds.
Our guests say this position is the most idyllic and so central for exploring both coast and country of Northumberland with its wealth of castles and historic houses. The market town of Alnwick is a short drive and just beyond is all of the beautiful open sandy beaches and coves forming the Heritage Coastline, including Holy Island and the Farne Islands, renowned for bird watching. We also have an interesting choice of inns, bistros and country restaurants in the surrounding area.
We offer a choice of nine beautifully furnished properties, all with log fires and full central heating, most with their own private gardens and teak furniture, sleeping between 2 and 8 guests. Set in tranquil sheltered four acre mature grounds they have outstanding country views of the Cheviot foothills and Breamish river valley, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Area of Conservation.
Being a small family owned and run business, Trysha and Graham pay special personal attention to the important details guaranteeing your stay is enjoyable and stress free.
