Montgomeryshire, Mid Wales

Montgomeryshire is known as ‘the Paradise of Wales’, these charming cottages are in the centre of this paradise.
The area is beautiful. Nearby is the Hafren Forest, from which the rivers Severn, Wye and Rheidol rise. The Plymlimon Mountains have many signposted walks and bounds the Clywedog Dam, home to sailing, fishing and nature trails. Rhayder, with its lakes is the home of the Red Kite. There are nature walks from the Elan Valley Visitors Centre and a farm where visitors can see the Red Kites feed in winter. Locally there are two golf courses, a driving range, pony trekking and sport centres with facilities for badminton, squash and swimming.

Dolgenau Hir (The Barn)
This delightful 17th century barn has been imaginatively converted to a single storey cottage with a lovely south facing garden overlooking beautiful countryside. Lower Dolgenau (The Cottage)
This tastefully restored stone and timber cottage
is adjacent to Dolgenau Hir. It enjoys a separate garden with a splendid outlook over the Trannon Valley. The cottage retains many original features whilst benefiting from modern amenities and comforts. Fully fitted, well equipped kitchen. Dining area furnished with antique kitchen table, chairs and dresser. Beamed, comfortable sitting room creatively furnished, inglenook fireplace and French door (not opening) overlooking the valley. Bathroom with bath, WC, hand basin and shower.

Cwmmegan Cottage
Late 16th century, timber framed, crofters cottage in an idyllic situation on the edge of a wood. The south facing property is reached by an all weather track and affords perfect peace.

There is a delightful garden room surrounded by a secluded well stocked garden with a stream. Fully fitted kitchen with farmhouse dining area. Comfortably furnished sitting room with French door opening onto large garden. Utility room. Downstairs bathroom with full size bath, WC and hand basin. Small snug with stairs to first floor. Well furnished main bedroom with cast iron 4'6'' bed. Further 3' twin bedded room with pine furniture, plenty of hanging space and airing cupboard.

The Town Cottage (Llanidloes)
A quaint end of terrace cottage in a quiet, residential area of the popular, market town of Llanidloes. This interesting town has a wide range of very good restaurants, pubs and shops. The cottage is opposite to the pretty local parish church and within 500m of a delightful riverside walk. You can enjoy the modern conveniences of this comfortable, tastefully decorated cottage when you return from a day exploring the local area. Walk straight in to an open plan lounge/dining area with a beamed ceiling. The newly refurbished kitchen is well appointed and opens onto a small communal yard. A steep narrow staircase leads to the double bedroom and a large well fitted bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin.
