Bardown Farm
Kent, Surrey & Sussex
Sussex High Weald near Royal Tunbridge Wells
South East Tourism Excellence Awards 2006 – Runner-up Self Catering Holiday of the Year
We would like to welcome you to Bardown Farm - our traditional mixed working farm in the heart of the High Weald. It is a truly beautiful location with panoramic views across an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - not a single modern pylon or road spoils the view! Meander along our farm tracks through bluebell filled woods and fields and maybe you will see the deer or the buzzards overhead. There is lots for children to do too - collect your own fresh eggs every day and help us bottle-feed the lambs in the spring. It is very rural and very peaceful - yet still close to London and the coast.
Things to do
Relax and unwind on the farm or alternatively this is a perfect base for exploring Kent and Sussex. Bewl Water is just a couple of miles away and has a 13 mile round reservoir route for cyclists and walkers as well as watersports and fishing on the water. Dale Hill Golf Course and horse riding at Bedgebury Forest are both within 5 miles. There are numerous National Trust properties nearby – Bodiam Castle, Scotney, and Batemans to name but a few. For keen gardeners the area is rich in beautiful gardens including Sissinghurst, Pashley Manor and Great Dixter. The coast at Camber is just nineteen miles distant with large sandy beaches ideal for children. Nearby is the historic Port of Rye – 1066 Country – famous for its cobbled streets and fantastic Rye Harbour Nature Reserve!
Quality accommodation, a beautiful location and with so much to see and do for all ages and tastes we promise that you will not be disappointed!
