There’s plenty to do and see; ideally placed for exploring both the Yorkshire Dales and Moors. Ripon, Harrogate and York are 10, 20 and 45 minutes away respectively. North Yorkshire has a wealth of stately homes, gardens, race/golf courses, antique shops and farmer’s markets. Great walking from the door (it’s just a ten-minute walk to Fountains Abbey), or bring your own bike as undercover storage available. Excellent choice of country inns and restaurants nearby.
