A great place for families, friends and groups


Set in 10 acres of picturesque South Hams countryside, Pitt Farm offers all the ingredients for a memorable holiday in beautiful South Devon. The cottages have been created by the imaginative conversion of a range of large stone farm buildings to offer spacious and private family accommodation.

All cottages enjoy access to the shared facilities including the games barn, the tennis court, the heated indoor swimming pool, the woodland, the twin zipewire and the fantastic new playground. There are plenty of places to enjoy the views. Guests love to meet our animals (and early risers love to join in with the feeding). 

Award winning and easily accessible sandy beaches, secluded coves, spectacular river estuaries and coastal paths can be found within a few miles, whilst Dartmoor, offering challenging walking, pony trekking and other outdoor pursuits is approximately 20 miles away. The historic towns of Totnes, Dartmouth and Salcombe offer a wide range of facilities, including shops, inns, restaurants, river cruises and steam train trips. The village of East Allington is 1.5 miles (or an easy one mile walk via the bridleway) away with a pub offering excellent food and hospitality. 

All the cottages have fully equipped kitchens. Each has an HDTV, DVD player, Bluetooth DAB radio, direct dial phone, WiFi, garden or terrace with BBQ and ample parking. Our on site honesty shop offers lots of lovely essentials and luxuries including fresh baked croissants and bread in the morning. 

Our larger cottages are ideal for family groups or extended families to enjoy time away together or to mark special occasions.

Meet the owner

Laura Travers

Hello! We are Richard and Laura the owners of Pitt Farm Holiday Cottages, and we live on site with our rescue dog Nellie (she shouldn't be seen as she has her own safe space, but we can't guarantee she won't be heard on occasion). We are excited to announce we now have three dog friendly cottages, Martingale, Kimblewick, and Mullen. All these cottages have private enclosed garden areas so your furry friends can have access to some outdoor space. There are also plenty of dog friendly beaches and walks to explore close by. We pride ourselves on our friendly approachable service, and our attention to detail (the little things often make a difference) and are always there with a smile to answer any questions.
