Premier Cottages’ 2012 brochure also features a new initiative from the collection called the “Premier Promise”. This assures all guests of direct contact with the owner of the property they are staying in during their break and that:
·       Guests will be personally welcomed, early in their stay, by the owner
·       All bookings will be made direct with the owners, no agencies are involved, ensuring each break is tailored to the guest’s personal requirements
·       Guests will be provided with inside knowledge of the local area by the owners that is not found in guidebooks
·       Properties selected by the collection are run by professional self caterers as businesses rather than second homes

Commenting on the Promise, Chairman of Premier Cottages, Alistair Handyside, said: “We want to make sure that all of our guests have the best possible experience when they stay at any property in the collection. We ensure all our properties are of a high quality by only accepting those that have received a four or five star status from their National Tourist Board. In fact, our members have scooped the national accolade of “Self Catering Holiday Cottage of the Year” four times in the last five years.

“The Premier Promise will enable us to take our quality guarantee one step further. Guests respond well to personal attention hence our commitment that they will have direct contact with our property owners. Not only does this make sure that holidaymakers’ expectations are met it also ensures any problems are dealt with speedily and efficiently.”

Most Premier properties now accept online bookings and short breaks and show prices that include electricity and heating as well as logs where an open fire or woodburner is provided. Bath and hand towels and bedding are also usually provided with many properties offering toiletries as well.
