Premier Cottages has selected seven of its best baby-friendly cottages for families looking to get away before the schools break up. Each of the properties in the baby collection provides cots, highchairs, stair gates, plastic plates and bowls, as well as extra baby kit to make travel with a young child as stress free as possible.

For multi-generational breaks - Red Doors Farm, Devon

Set in the gorgeous Devon countryside, Red Doors Farm is an idyllic retreat for all ages. Families with little ones will enjoy exploring the beautiful gardens where livestock, animal petting and an indoor soft play area await. Mum and dad can also take advantage of the baby-sitting service and enjoy a spa treatment. Also, on site are a large indoor heated pool (with baby changing facilities and playpen), croquet and giant chess as well as indoor and outdoor children’s play areas plus a trampoline, wooden fort, playhouse and swings.

For pet-loving families - Gladwins Farm, Suffolk

With ten bespoke, award winning cottages overlooking the Stour Valley, Gladwins Farm is a picturesque getaway for families with a baby and dog in tow. The cottages are situated on 22 acres of stunning farmland grounds, ideal for dogs to roam around in, and provide dog beds, biscuits and place mats for pooches. For horse riding families -  Broomhill Manor, Cornwall

Broomhill Manor is one of Cornwall’s most attractive Georgian manor houses, set in beautiful gardens overlooking Bude Bay and is just a short walk from a choice of sandy beaches. Nestled in the glorious hills of the South Hams, Flear Farm Cottages is within easy reach of market towns, woodland walks and sandy beaches. Its 40ft indoor heated pool is the ideal place to introduce little ones to swimming, with lessons hosted by Turtle Tots for babies up to 14 months and also for those from 15 months to 3.5 years. Families can have fun with the floats, swimming noodles and water toys in the pool.

Also, on site are a large indoor play barn, outdoor play area and animal petting plus outdoor tennis court, trampoline and food shop. A baby-sitting service is available so that parents can relax in the luxurious spa complex, opening out onto a terrace with an in-ground hot tub.
