Mendham Mill with its enormous watermill and slow moving river has been described as Narnia. Guests can experience the thrill of wild swimming here or explore the river by canoe or rowing boat where they can see a host of wildlife up close, including otters, kingfishers and other birds.
From Mendham Mill it’s easy to explore neighbouring Harleston with its mix of high street and independent shops. Southwold’s famous beach and lighthouse are nearby, and Norwich and Thetford Forest are also within easy reach. The village pub, The Sir Alfred Munnings, is a five minute walk away.
