Based on the literary classic by Thomas Hardy, FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD is the story of independent, beautiful and headstrong Bathsheba Everdene (Mulligan), who attracts three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak (Schoenaerts), a sheep farmer, captivated by her fetching willfulness; Frank Troy (Sturridge), a handsome and reckless Sergeant; and William Boldwood (Sheen), a prosperous and mature bachelor.
This timeless story was filmed in stunning countryside in and around West Dorset. Premier Cottages’ collection features almost one thousand properties, many of which are private and secluded making them a good fit with the locations of the film.
Commenting on the association, Beth Bailey, Premier Cottages’ Marketing Director, said: “FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD provides a good synergy with our collection of properties, many of which offer the perfect place to get away from it all. We are excited about this partnership as it gives us the opportunity to provide our guests and potential guests with the chance to win some sought-after prizes, while highlighting some of our stunning yet rural retreats.”
