In the heart of the High Weald of Sussex, Coopers Farm Cottage is set on a traditional family run livestock farm. The 200-year- old cottage is a real home from home with a mix of antique furniture, comfy sofas, big rugs and wooden floors. There is also a huge inglenook fireplace with a woodburner that’s perfect for colder days. Easter coincides with lambing season and guests can enjoy this first hand and will also have the chance to bottle feed the orphan lambs. There are also over 100 acres of meadows and woods to explore with great walks direct from the door.

Save £100 at Old Oak Cottages, Yorkshire
Old Oak Cottages, are located on a well kept arable and sheep farm, just outside the pretty village of Little Thirkleby, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. The Farm has spectacular views across unspoilt countryside towards the White Horse of Kilburn.

The City of York is close by and there are superb walks all around the cottage. In March guests can see lambs being born and watch them gamboling in the nearby paddocks and fields. On site is an indoor heated pool, spa bath and sauna, plus an all-weather tennis court and large play area. There’s also a choice of foodie pubs and restaurants close by.

Save £70 at Parc-yr- Hebog Cottages, Ceredigion
Located in a rural setting with glorious views of surrounding farmland Parc-yr- Hebog Cottages offer a hands-on opportunity to see life on a smallholding during the lambing season, which takes place from end of February to early April.

The properties are also within an easy drive from the stunning Cardigan Bay with its spectacular coastal walks, quiet coves and picturesque harbour villages. Then after a busy day’s walking or a night lambing guests staying at The Barn can relax in the sauna.

Tunstall Road Farm, Yorkshire
Tunstall Road Farm’s three properties are located between the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors national parks.  Guests staying on this working farm in late March and early April have the chance to see resident flock of pedigree, native sheep’s’ new born lambs. Guided by the manager there’s also the opportunity to witness the birth of new life on the farm. Other animals onsite include pigs and cows.

Uppergate Farm, Yorkshire
Uppergate Farm sits on the edge of Hepworth, a lovely Pennine village in Yorkshire. It boasts 50 acres of grassland and woodland and, depending on the time of year, children can join in with feeding the calves, cow, lambs, ducks, geese, pigs and free- range hens every morning. Bottle feeding lambs is particularly popular from the end of March to mid summer as is daily egg collecting. The farm has five historic cottages of varying sizes, a heated indoor pool, outdoor and indoor play areas, plus an excellent pub, restaurant and cafe are just a short walk.

Knowle Farm, Devon
Knowle Farm in the heart of South Devon offers the perfect family retreat. With lambs due in April, visitors can look forward to seeing the newborns taking their first few steps. Families can also feed and interact with the farm’s pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, donkeys and turkeys. The indoor pool, toddler soft play area and more ensure there is always something to do.

Bryn Eithin and Bwthyn Clychau’r Gog, Denbighshire
Two fabulous cottages, Bryn Eithin and Bwthyn Clychau’r Gog are located at 1050 feet and have amazing views. Between March 16 th and mid-April, the farm will be lambing its flock of 50 ewes. Families can help feed the ewes, cuddle newborn lambs and assist with feeding the chickens and collecting their eggs too.
