The Pele Tower, Cumbria
The Pele Tower is set in a beautifully restored 14th century castle in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, 20 minutes from the Lake District. A luxury property, which comes complete with battlements, mullion windows and a stone flagged ground floor, it sleeps four in two bedrooms. Downstairs is gloriously open plan with underfloor heating throughout as well as a log burning stove with complimentary logs.
Outside is a decked platform surrounded by infinity glass and guests can spot wildlife in the stream below. There is plenty to do in the area with lots of great walks straight from the door and fantastic places to eat.
