The cottage complex also has its own riding stable and a variety of children’s play facilities.
The Retreat, Cheviot Cottages, Northumberland
Located in Northumberland’s Cheviot Hills, the Retreat is situated within a larger complex of holiday cottages, but packs in a little extra luxury than most. Remodelled from a former stable block, the two person detached cottage has its own indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Ideal for a romantic break, you’ll also have access to a private patio and garden, and some great views.
Bardown Farm, East Sussex
Bardown Farm is a family-friendly working farm with a number of large luxury cottages. In addition to having a large outdoor pool, the cottage complex also has private terraces where you can have a barbecue as you dry off from the pool.
Hopton Hall, Derbyshire
The five cottages at Hopton Hall sit in 30 acres in the Derbyshire Peak District. The cottages – sleeping from 4 to 14 guests – enjoy shared use of an indoor heated pool, children’s playground with swings, slide and climbing frame and a paddock with football pitch, volleyball nets, picnic tables and BBQ facilities.
Higher Wiscombe, Devon
Choose from one of three luxury cottages near East Devon’s Jurassic Coast and you’ll have access to a heated outdoor pool in the owner’s garden during the summer months. If you want a little quiet time you can book the pool for a private session, while you’ll also have access to a games room with table tennis and other entertainments.
