While holidaying in our home country has been a popular money saving option since long before the recession, there are plenty of other reasons to enjoy a relaxing break right here in the UK this year; protecting the environment is one at the top of many people’s lists.
Famous for its forests, mountains and lakes, Cumbria is an extremely popular holiday destination, with 14.8 million visitors flocking to the Lake District each year to take in the breathtaking views, rare wildlife and historical villages. As well as being home to England’s highest mountain and the country’s longest and deepest lakes, the Lake District is associated with the early 19th century writings and poetry of William Wordsworth, who loved nature and was inspired by the county’s landscape.
When holidaying with a large group, whether that’s a large number of family members, or simply a large group of close friends, it can be tough to find somewhere to stay that suits everyone, whilst still accommodating in terms of space.
