Tucked away in a quiet lane stands Gardeners Cottage – built in the traditional flint style this delightful holiday cottage is a wonderful place to stay for couples or smaller families. The enchanting lane on which is stands, known as ‘The Londs’, leads directly to the beach and is perfect for holiday makers looking to make the most of this seaside location! Built around 1860 Gardeners Cottage has been in the owner’s family for many years. As a repository of countless happy memories it has been lovingly decorated and furnished whilst still retaining many period features, such as the original sash windows. Downstairs the cosy living room is pleasantly furnished, featuring polished wood flooring. A warm rug lazes in front of the fireplace with its wood-burning stove (just begging to be lit and snuggled up in front of at the first opportunity!). Modern entertainment needs are catered for by a Digital Television. Leading off from this is the good size kitchen/diner with woodflooring and a feature fireplace, complete with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and automatic washer/dryer. The downstairs bedroom and ensuite is located through dining room area. Step through the back door and into the well-kept, enclosed rear garden which sweeps up the side of the house, still with its old bathhouse where the weekly washing was done in a traditional copper! Garden furniture and barbecue facilities are provided for a more relaxed holiday. Upstairs the Victorian style bathroom has WC and wash basin, with shower over the bath. Both bedrooms are comfortable and feature reproduction Victorian style bedsteads – with a decadent king-size bed in the master bedroom and two cosy twin beds in the second bedroom. Overstrand is a crab fishing village just to the east of Cromer and within walking distance either along the beach or by the cliff top path. It has sandy beaches ideal for young children to build sandcastles, play beach cricket and football or hunt for crabs. You can find a play area, shops, public house and a restaurant. Within reach of The Broads, Amazona Zoo, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure, Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate, Sheringham Park and so much more.
