Chapel Facade

Chic, country house style in the heart of the Royal Forest of Dean

VisitEngland Gold Award Winners for offering the ‘best of the best’ not only in hospitality and service but top scores for quality, stylish bedrooms and bathrooms.

Forest Barn Holidays offers at ‘A Forest Chapel For You’ the comfort and attention to detail of a good hotel. There is the style and ease of country house living which sets this apart from other self catering holiday rentals.

Get out and about to see the spectacular views, walks and adventure offered not only by the Forest woodland but the fantastic Wye Valley too. Whether you seek a quiet time away or an action packed trip tackling mountain bike downhill routes or river activities you can return to the atmosphere of elegance yet comfort.

When you step onto the terrace you will find pretty tubs of plants, BBQ area and garden furniture.

Excellent complimentary WiFi.

Travelling with a baby or toddler see our website for information on our items available to make less packing.

Meet the owner

Lynda or Geoff Norman

A warm welcome to the Forest of Dean from Lynda, and my husband Geoff. A native of Derbyshire, I chose a hamlet in the Forest as my home, almost on a whim and I've never regretted it. Over the years I’ve lovingly restored the chapel, creating intimate, yet private top quality holiday homes for our guests. I also offer other character properties located elsewhere within the Forest. All are beautifully appointed and styled to my exacting specifications. We are as hands on and helpful as visitors require; either blending into the (beautiful) scenery or available to problem-solve and guide, depending on your preferences. Together with our office team and gardener/ handyman and chef, we think we’re an unbeatable team and our regular guests agree
