Gray Manes is ideally placed to visit many well know attractions. The superb facilities include exclusive use of a heated indoor pool with changing room. All doors to the pool room can be locked for the safety of our smaller guests. The games room is heated so warm all year round and has a pool table, air hockey table, table football, TV ideal to connect games consoles to and comfy sofas. With nearly two acres of flat grounds to play in there is plenty of space for all. We supply garden games such as badminton, croquet and football nets, the outdoor table tennis is always popular. The children’s play area has swings, a slide and a large netted trampoline. The sunny patio running the length of the house is perfect for al fresco dining with a gas barbecue and all the garden furniture you need.
This beautifully furnished house has large entertaining and dining areas with everything you need for a truly memorable stay. The heart of the house is the spacious 27ft drawing room, blending rich leather with mellow oak. This lovely room easily seats 14, with a wood burner in the large stone inglenook fireplace for cosy evening in. The double doors open onto the patio for those warm summer days. The 50" smart TV, Sky Sports & Movies. In addition to the drawing room there is a separate sitting area off the kitchen where a large window offers lovely views over the garden; it is a great space to relax or read a book.
We are very child friendly and have an extensive list of baby/toddler equipment you can borrow to make your life easier. There is a playroom for smaller children with a TV and DVD player, suitable toys and DVDs just off the kitchen making it is easy to keep a close eye on them, whilst the older ones take advantage of the well-equipped games room. In the evening it does provide a second tv room.
There are six double bedrooms one of which is downstairs. All bedrooms are of a good size with zip and link beds which can be set up as either twins or super kings. All rooms have their own bathroom/shower room, tv and plenty of hanging and drawer space with quality oak furniture, oak doors and flooring. Two bedrooms have an extra full size single bed suitable for children.
The small historic towns of Langport and Somerton are just a couple of miles away both providing a good choice of pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and shops including a supermarket. We are ideally situated for visiting many well known attractions including Glastonbury, Wells, Bath and Wookey Hole to name but a few. Being only 2 hours from the outskirts of London, or 15 minutes from Junction 23 of the M5, Gray Manes is perfect for short breaks or longer holidays.
