Contemporary barns in a rural location

Stretch out in one of our stylish converted barns with space for all the family to unwind. High ceilings, oak flooring throughout, and comfortable surroundings set in picturesque countryside.

A peaceful base for a relaxing holiday, our contemporary barn conversion is set within a small working sheep farm near the market town of Wantage, birthplace of King Alfred, in the Vale of White Horse.

Nestled between three renowned Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, our stylish barns offer views over surrounding fields, spacious rooms and style in abundance. The barns are set in a perfect spot for walkers and nature lovers alike, and are only 12 miles into the heart of historic Oxford.

The farm lies between the Cotswolds, Chiltern Hills and North Wessex Downs, with a wide choice of picturesque routes on offer. Positioned on the edge of the Lockinge Estate, host to the famous point to point, there are links to The Ridgeway, an ancient 87 mile track, from the farm.

There is so much to see in this beautiful area. The famous landmark, White Horse Hill, which is believed to be over 3000 years old (late Bronze age) is just a short drive away, as are the villages of the Cotswolds plus the many attractions of Oxford.

Our spacious barn conversions can either be rented separately or together sleeping up to a total of 22 guests.

All three properties are light, spacious and contemporary in style, and our rural location makes for relaxing and memorable family holidays; birthday and anniversary celebrations; friends reunions; short breaks and yoga retreats.

Meet the owner

Jan Beaumont

We have lived at Andersey Farm for over thirty years and it is now home to our 3 teenage sons and Meg the very friendly sheepdog! Originally bare land, over the years we have reinstated all the hedgerows and planted hundreds of trees. The farmland has been reverted to meadows and plays host to many rare birds and butterflies. Our flock of Southdown sheep enjoy grazing in the meadows and produce the most adorable lambs in Spring. Needless to say we both enjoy the outdoors and are kept very busy with our garden and vegetable patch.
