About & Contact

A delightful two bedroom cottage

The Barn, once the farm’s general barn, is a spacious 2 bedroom retreat, ideal for couples or families.

Located in the fascinating Landsker region, surrounded by an ancient landscape rich in beauty and wildlife, visit local nature reserves, hike up Plumstone Mountain, or explore the remains of Norman castles dotted along this historic frontier.

The ground floor is open plan. The lounge area has a Villager log burner, digital TV with DVD player and Hi-Fi system with iPod dock. Fully equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and adjoining dining area. Access from the kitchen onto private patio.

A downstairs double bedroom with en suite wet room fitted with drop down toilet rail and shower rail, perfect for less mobile guests.

The first floor has a double bedroom with views across the valley. En suite bathroom with separate shower, bath, basin, and WC.

Outside t o the front is the communal lawned area and to rear of the property is a private patio with barbecue, and seating area. Playground, extensive lawns, wildlife pond (fenced off for safety), and acres of fields and woodland you’re welcome to enjoy.

Pembrokeshire’s National Park coastline, just 3 miles away, is famed for its coast path, incredible natural beauty and astonishing wildlife, from huge colonies of seabirds and seals to dolphins and whales. And don’t miss the brooding and enigmatic Preseli Mountains to the north, the source of some of Stonehenge’s Bluestones.

Try an outdoor adventure challenge, from kite surfing to coasteering, available locally, and the Celtic Trail cycle route passes within a mile.

Just along the northern shore of St. Bride’s Bay, only 10 minutes’ drive, is the pretty coastal village of Solva. Once the haunt of smugglers and pirates, nowadays it’s well worth a visit for its restaurants and galleries.

Only a few more miles along the coast are Wales’s spiritual capital of St. Davids – an ‘edge of the world’ place that once attracted Celtic holy men and pilgrims from far and wide.

So much to see and do you won't want to miss out!

Meet the owner

Karen Loo

Jeff and Karen plus their 2 children Sebastian and Francesca welcome you to Asheston Eco Barns, a haven of peace and tranquillity in rural Pembrokeshire. Located on an old farm the 5 luxury cottages are surrounded by open fields with far reaching views over the Brandy Brook valley. We purchased the site in late 2003 and then spent the next 5.5 years renovating the farm buildings into 5 star eco-friendly self catering cottages. We take great pride in generating approx. 60% of the energy consumed on site from our various renewable technology installations. We are only 3 miles from the Blue Flag beach at Newgale perfect for surfing, rock pooling or just relaxing. We all love Pembrokeshire and look forward to helping you create some perfect holiday memories.
