About & Contact

Luxury and character in the Brecon Beacons

Completed in 2017, a stylish and spacious listed barn conversion hidden in the heart of the upper Usk Valley, with far-reaching views of Pen-y-Fan and the Black Mountain.

Stunning interior, featuring magnificent oak beams, designed for comfort and practicality. Underfloor heating beneath ceramic tiles on the ground floor and oak boarded floors upstairs.

Two super king-size bedrooms, one with en suite shower room, the other with zip and link bed (configurable as a twin). Third bedroom is a double. Family bathroom with large shower cubicle and double ended bath. Cot is available and fold up bed for another child if required.

Wireless fibre optic broadband and wired internet ports. Widescreen freesat TVs in the living room and master bedroom. Private terrace accessed from French doors, surrounded by a picket fence to keep both young children and dogs safe. Breathtaking views and comfortable furniture make this ideal for alfresco meals, perhaps cooked on the gas barbecue.

The sitting room has a log burner and good supply of logs - perfect for snuggling up during the cooler months.

With dedicated parking for three vehicles, Barnfield Cottage overlooks a beautiful, flower-filled, terraced garden, and has access to the owners' field which both invite further exploration.

An ideal base for enjoying and exploring the Brecon Beacons and South Wales, whether walking, cycling, visiting castles, gardens, caves or waterfalls, or sampling the fares of local shops restaurants and pubs. Only eight miles to the market town of Brecon, and convenience stores in Sennybridge just a few minutes away by car.

Meet the owner

Mark Collins

Barnfield Cottage is owned by Mark Collins & Alan Loze who live in the other half of the converted Barn complex following their hands on redevelopment of what was once little more than a derelict ruin. Their garden is a passion which they love to share with visitors. Living in a vibrant and friendly local rural community and welcoming guests to share this beautiful part of the world is a fantastic way to live!
