The Old Dairy Sitting Room

A secluded setting but not remote..

Proud winners of VisitEngland's National Excellence Award for 'Self-Catering Provider of the year 2017 '

From the moment you arrive at Blakelow cottages, your only responsibility is to have a good time! We aim to do everything we can to ensure your stay with us is as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

There are heart lifting walks right from the doorstep over the hills and along the numerous dales, the Limestone Way passes through the fields across from the cottages, a 30 minute stroll will take you into the heart of Winster village with its excellent shop, pub, church, and National Trust Market House.

The views down the valley to Chatsworth House are simply beautiful. Our Visit England awarded  5* cottages - fresh  and crisp Cranberry and cosy but  elegant Christmas   provide a fabulous retreat for guests who want to get away from it all somewhere quiet, peaceful and beautiful but at the same time undoubtedly luxurious.

Meet the owner

Rachael Gibbs

Your Blakelow Team consists of me, Rachael, and fellow owner (and husband!) Matthew and we live on site in the main farmhouse. At the moment Matthew works during the week so it will generally be me you see. We have help from Gemma on changeover day and our children can usually be found cutting grass at weekends! We will always be here to greet you and show you around and we are here to help you with whatever you may need. Apart from that we will leave you to relax and enjoy your holiday !
