Get away in style and escape to this special corner of the beautiful South West. The English Riviera has 22 miles of UNESCO Heritage coastline and Blue Bayou is in the very heart of it. This modern, self-catering apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps three people. The light and airy open plan living room has an enormous Smart TV, two comfy sofas and dining for four. There is a sheltered balcony that faces South West so you can relax and catch those precious rays or indulge in a spot of al fresco dining. The well-equipped kitchen caters for all tastes whether you want to cook up a storm or keep it simple. The main bedroom has a super king bed which can be converted to two singles while the second bedroom has a small double for one person. All our linen is Egyptian cotton and the bedding is hypoallergenic. Our location is perfect for anyone who loves both coast and countryside. If you enjoy sea swimming and fancy a quck dip before breakfast, the nearest beach is just two minutes away on foot. Alternatively you can head inland through the lush water meadows. It's just a short stroll through a wooded valley to the picturesque thatched cottages and parkland of Cockington Village. Meanwhile Torquay's bars and cafes are within fifteen minutes on foot along the South West Coast Path. The Michelin starred Elephant Restaurant is walkable at just under 1.5 miles away. During the Summer months you can rent paddle boards and kayaks at nearby Torre Abbey Sands. Torquay is a great base to explore stunning South Devon. Dartmoor, Totnes, Dartmouth and the beautiful South Hams are all within easy driving distance.

We are Katie and Steve, the owners of Blue Bayou and Vane Tower. When we first visited Torquay in 2017, we were stunned by the beautiful coastline and Torquay’s microclimate was another lovely surprise. We were at a crossroads in our life and decided a complete change was needed. Within three months we had sold our house in Kent and moved here. When we aren’t working we can be found on our paddleboards or hiking on the South West Coast Path. We are passionate about where we live and want our guests to enjoy this beautiful part of South Devon as much as we do. We hope to welcome you to stay with us soon.
