Fantastic sea views

Brig y Don, Welsh for 'crest of the wave', is an appropriate name for this unique property that embraces its unparalleled coastal position. Guests can take full advantage of Brig y Don's spectacular location to visit some of Wales' best beaches, walk the famous Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coast path, and soak up all that coastal life has to offer.

With breathtaking sea views of Cardigan Bay, it is situated at the mouth of the river Teifi in the coastal hamlet of Gwbert, which is 3 miles from the popular market town of Cardigan on the border of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Brig y Don is just a short walk from two popular restaurants, a spa and an 18-hole golf course.

Each and every element of this beautiful property has been carefully considered: from the curved bay windows that drench the ground floor in natural light, to the relaxing open plan design that creates a wonderfully social living area. Brig y Don has been finished to an exceptionally high standard, adding to the luxurious ambience of this sea-side holiday home. Each of the four bedrooms has an en-suite, making it perfect for groups or families. Outside, a private, enclosed garden to the rear is beautifully maintained and the front boasts a patio area with panoramic sea views!

Whether you're looking to simply relax by the seaside, explore the rugged coastline by foot or seeking exhilarating watersports, Brig y Don is the perfect place to make your home-from-home during your next holiday, opening up the glorious West Wales coast for you to explore.

Reviews for Brig y Don

Meet the owner

Chris Purnell

We are Chris and Eirian Purnell and we’ve been welcoming guests to the beautiful Cardigan Bay coast since 2011. We live in Cardigan and, with our three grown-up sons, love to enjoy all that rural, coastal life has to offer – whether that’s kayaking with dolphins or walking the famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path. As a family, we have always prioritised holidays together and know their importance to family life. We work hard to ensure that Brig y Don provides a unique, comfortable home-from-home from which to enjoy a great holiday and are proud to share it with you.
