About & Contact

Dog-friendly cottage in Snowdonia National Park

Set in 14 acres of private river-fronted land, Cae Du is a tranquil countryside cottage, situated in the heart of the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park.

Play golf in secluded valleys, canoe along calm rivers or climb the highest peak to catch views of Ireland across the sea. Admire the wild rocky mountains and still glacial lakes of Snowdonia National Park, visit Bodnant Gardens and, if you're feeling brave, take a dip in the natural pool within the River Lledr. With purpose-built single-track and wild natural trails, this is one of the best places for mountain biking in the country. At the end of the day’s adventures, slip into a Jacuzzi bath or play the cottage’s piano.

Reviews for Cae Du

Meet the owner

Tim Carter

Hi, I am Tim and fell in love with this amazing area since my first trip here as a teenager. I have had a cottage in the area for 35 years or more and Cae Du for 23 years; in that time the area continues to add to the fantastic list of attractions and activities, which add to the natural beauty of both coast and inland. I have also seen the development of the local food producers providing some truly excellent supplies, good value too. I continue to develop the house and gardens, with many plans yet to fulfil, most years we manage to add something to improve the whole experience of staying at Cae Du. I hope you find this house as pleasurable as I and my family do
