Walk up the lane and you are directly on to one of the most spectacular sections of the South West Coast Path, looking down on to the chalky outcrop of Beer Head, and over to the popular village of Branscombe with its two delightful old world pubs and the Sea Shanty Beach cafe, a fabulous walk or a short drive if you prefer to take it easy.
In March Beer is home to one of the UK’s most popular and oversubscribed cross country runs, not for the faint-hearted, Grizzly by name and by nature.
May brings the Pecorama classic car show, and the floral displays in the village come alive, winner of many a Britain in Bloom award you will be charmed by the array of baskets and tubs throughout the village.
August regatta week means the flags go up throughout the village, and the beach is alive with sailing races, fancy dress rafts, children’s competitions and beach BBQs, a week not to be missed.
In October Beer hosts its very own R’n'B festival, a must for musicians.
At Christmas time Beer really comes alive, what better to be in a delightfully lit and decorated fishing village for the festive season, Beer late shopping is becoming a bigger tradition each year with live reindeer, fire jugglers, majorettes and music, to finish off the festivities, New Years Eve is marked with a fantastic firework display right on the beach.

'I just wanted to let you know some of the things we loved about your property!: - new dish scrubbing brush - new cloths to use - salt and pepper - washing up liquid - dishwasher tablets - loads of cookware - loads of cutlery/crockery etc.. - lots of sofas in the lounge and playroom - bathrooms were immaculate and very well decorated! - the Christmas tree and wreath were a lovely touch and the tree was particularly lovely! - really appreciated the welcome card and bottle of wine - stair gate was a godsend. The overall house was immaculate!'
