Meet the owner

Penny Hornsey

Hello, I am Penny Hornsey and started welcoming guests to Coachmans Cottage in 2004. I live next door to the cottage and can therefore be on hand to pass on knowledge about the cottage, village and area when needed, we owners tread a fine line between being available to help but not intrusive! The past family history has been a life involved with Antique Dealing and Interior Design, owning shops in nearby Devizes, Bradford on Avon and Bath. Guests might also meet my Father, Peter, who introduces himself as "maintenance man", my Mother Jo, and our 2 Golden Retrievers Ollie and Chrissie. I always like to meet incoming guests to introduce them to the cottage and hope that guests will drop the key back to me and say "farewell" before departing. We are happy to have a high number of returning guests from around the world who we now number as our friends.
