About & Contact

Dog-friendly luxury cottage in Wadhurst

The cottage has been carefully restored to blend the benefits of a 200 year-old building with the comforts of 21st century living. Inside it feels like a well loved home thanks to an interesting mix of antique furniture, comfy sofas, big rugs and wooden floors. The sitting room has a huge inglenook fireplace with a woodburner leading through to a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, utility room and loo. Upstairs, where all the rooms are vaulted to the beams, there is a double bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom and separate loo. The cottage has a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer, TV/DVD, WiFi, and central heating. Outside there is a very secluded south-west facing, terrace garden with panoramic views across unspoilt farmland – an ideal spot to savour a chilled glass of wine while you watch the sunset.

Meet the owner

Jane Howard

Adrian and Jane gave up their city jobs twenty years ago and moved down to Sussex to enjoy the good life. Coopers is a very old, traditional High Weald grassland farm and today they are full time farmers running a herd of Sussex cattle, a flock of sheep and lots of pigs, chickens and bees. And of course enjoying running a holiday cottage as part of the farm. Adrian and Jane enjoy welcoming visitors to this idyllic corner of Sussex and will happily provide all the 'local detail' you need to make your stay at Coopers Farm really special. So whether you want to know about the best beaches for children, the best pub for a pint of Harveys or where to find the best markets for antiques and treasures they're always around to help.
