Corner Farm Barn is situated at the north end of Suffolks’ Heritage Coast, close to the Victorian seaside town of Southwold, the pretty seaside village of Walberswick, the RSPB reserve at Minsmere, and within the attractive Suffolk coastal district. The 40 miles of Heritage Coast, almost all of which is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offer a feeling of peace and tranquillity even in the height of summer. The coastal towns and rolling farmland offer our guests a wonderful variety of experiences.
The barn has been lovingly converted to provide accommodation of exceptional quality. It enjoys its own private garden complete with hot tub, play apparatus, a trampoline and football pitch, and has access to the 5 acres of woodland and paddocks belonging to the farm. Rare breed Tamworth pigs roam freely in the woods, and the paddocks are home to rare breed Wiltshire Horned sheep.
The barn has an exposed internal timber frame with a brick plinth and Norfolk pantiled floors downstairs, oak floors upstairs. The kitchen is extensively equipped including a Nespresso coffee machine complete with capsules, fitted quality oak units, solid oak work surfaces and range cooker, the bathrooms have quality modern fittings, power showers, heated towel rails, an enamel bath and a selection of toiletries. Quality fluffy towels are provided, as are robes and slippers for use with the hot tub. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, twin bedrooms have singles that can be made up as super king-size, all have crisp 200 thread bed linen and handmade woollen rugs from India. The living room is warmly furnished with comfy sofas, woodburning stove, and French windows open onto a patio area with garden furniture and a hot tub. For wet days there is a flat screen TV with all the Sky channels you could ever want, a small games room with table football and a small snooker table, plenty of books and good old-fashioned board games.
Footpaths pass close by, and there are many circular off road walks that can be undertaken from the barn ranging from 2 to 10 miles in length.
Visit Southwold, home to Adnams brewery, with its pier and pretty beach huts, and family fun can be had at Easton Farm Park, rowing on Thorpeness Meare, or crabbing at Walberswick.
