Stunning spacious luxury barn conversion

Just a mile away from West Burton in Wensleydale lies the hamlet of Newbiggin-in-Bishopdale, one of the lesser known Yorkshire Dales connecting the neighbouring famous Wensleydale and Wharfedale. Newbiggin is the ultimate in peace and tranquility - a peaceful hamlet that is a single linear no-through road. Although Newbiggin means 'new beginnings' or 'new buildings', there are many buildings that are centuries old. Here you will find The Byre, a stunning recently renovated 18th century Grade II listed barn conversion that was awarded the VisitEngland Self-Catering Property of the Year 2017. The Byre is part of Eastburn Farmhouse, one of the oldest buildings in the area dated around 1680-1710, known as a Dales Longhouse. Mixing old-worlde character with the 21st century seamlessly, The Byre offers spacious luxurious accommodation for two people to spend quality time together. With luxurious touches throughout - a bespoke oak & granite kitchen, double-ended bath, large walk-in shower, antique bedroom furniture, 6’ bedstead, LED TV in lounge & bedroom, and log burning inglenook fireplace alongside the cart feature window, overlooking the half acre garden to the Bishopdale views beyond. The 17th century Streethead Inn just 200m away provides a warm welcome and very good quality local food. You can even see the pub across the fields directly from your armchair in front of the fire at The Byre. A nearby lane runs directly to the pub, but maybe not quite so straight on the way home! The Byre and The Dairy can be booked together - ideal for two couple who want their own privacy but can come together to dine and relax in The Dairy together.
