Luxury dog-friendly barn conversions close to the North Devon beaches

Approached by a long private drive, which winds through open fields, Eastacott Barton offers two luxurious barn conversions each sleeping 6 guests, or 12 when booked in combination.

These stone Victorian barns have been lovingly converted to provide flexible accommodation, either as two, three bedroom cottages (all en suite) or for the exclusive use of one group sleeping up to 12 (plus cots). With lots of exposed beams and high vaulted ceilings, the cottages combine the best of traditional craftsmanship, with antique furniture and modern kitchens and bathrooms.

With Dartmoor lying to the south and Exmoor to the north, the dog-friendly barns are surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside, offering a wide range of recreational pursuits including walking, riding, cycling, golf and fishing on the rivers Taw, Torridge and Mole. You can even catch trout in the private lake onsite.

The Tarka Trail - a bird watchers paradise with stunning river estuary scenes - is only 10 miles away. Sailing and boating can be enjoyed at Instow and Appledore, and the dramatic coastline with its renowned surfing beaches including Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton Sands is just a stone's throw away.

There are three great local pubs nearby, all of which offer excellent food (and are dog-friendly!) including the CAMRA pub of the year 2007 – The Bell at Chittlehampton. The Rising Sun at Umberleigh, and The Exeter Inn at Chittlehamholt provides a pleasant off road walk which takes 30 minutes are an hour and ten minutes respectively.

Eastacott Barton is proud to be dog-friendly, and your four-legged friends will enjoy the acres of recreational pasture, woodland and lakes that are available right on the doorstep.
