Spacious single storey 3 bedroom cottage

Experience the ultimate getaway at Eastgate Farm Cottages. Our luxury cottages offer a truly unforgettable experience with top-notch amenities. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or an adventure-filled vacation, our cottages are the perfect choice.

Furrows Cottage is beautifully furnished. It is a very spacious, single storey property with three bedrooms (there is one step between the kitchen and lounge area)

The living area is open plan with fabulous exposed beams. 

There is a well-equipped, stylish kitchen that has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, small freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine with integral dryer.

The dining area is ideal for relaxing and enjoying meals and adjoins a large sitting room area with comfortable sofas, a book and film library and large Smart TV and DVD player.

You will find a double bedroom with king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom (with shower over). There are also two twin bedrooms.

The house bathroom is beautifully done in limestone, with a large free-standing bath, two wash basins, shower, WC and bidet.

Dogs are welcome in Furrows (pet fee applies, see website).

There is a gated entrance, a gravelled driveway and a pretty courtyard with parking. Here you will also find a central fountain surrounded by flowering plants, plus a terrace outside the property that has a table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy drinks and meals in the open air.

You can also benefit from our on-site electric vehicle charging point. On arrival you will be greeted with locally collected whole milk as well as free range eggs from our own farm. We also have a small orchard on site for you to enjoy.

Complimentary use of a heated indoor swimming pool, all weather tennis court, gym and games room with a smart changing area for both males and females and the water is warm.

Surrounded by the rolling Yorkshire Wolds, Eastgate Farm is only ten minutes to the nearest beach. Located on a working farm, you will immediately feel relaxed by the rural nature of the properties. The small village of Thwing epitomises peacefulness and is extremely family friendly: the cottages are a five-minute walk from the village park and one minute away from a beautiful area for picnics.

Driffield is our closest town and is a busy market town set in the Yorkshire Wolds, with a lot on offer for its visitors. There are many pubs and cafes to choose from, providing quality food and drink from local suppliers. Visitors can enjoy shopping for local produce at the weekly Thursday market and there is also the yearly Driffield Show held at the Showground every summer.

Bridlington is a treasured coastal town, with lovely sandy beaches and plenty of attractions for all of the family. Filey, Scarborough and Flamborough also make for great days out on the coast. Slightly further afield, but perfect for day trips are Whitby, York, Beverley and Hull.

You will find wonderful walks on the nearby Yorkshire Wolds and we have two large stately homes (Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall) that are open to the public and have super playgrounds within ten minutes’ drive.

Emily Field-Corrigan

Hello, we are Sara and Emily - a mother-daughter duo that look after the Eastgate Cottages at Thwing. Our lovely cottages were originally an old Victorian farm yard with a grain store and animal sheds. Although we are still primarily a farming family, we wanted to share the magic with others. Sara renovated them in early 2000s to make the stunning complex. As we are huge holiday fans, and often go away as a whole family (there are 15 in total), we wanted to make a luxurious, family friendly base in Yorkshire that offered an ideal holiday home for exploring the area: we are active people and have tried to ensure we have all the facilities we would wish for when going away. We would love you to join us, enjoy the pool, tennis court, gym and games room and you are sure to meet Emily and her four young children- the fourth generation to be at the farm.
