The open plan kitchen in The Old Barn has an electric double oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, cream painted units, granite work surfaces and an island with a seating area.
The dining area (which seats up to 10), looks out over the courtyard.
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor: a double bedroom with a king-size bed and a bathroom with a bath (with shower over), WC and hand wash basin. There is also a twin bedroom with a large walk-in shower, WC and hand wash basin.
On the first floor there is a vast, beamed sitting room with a large Smart TV and DVD player, flame effect fire and large, comfortable sofas. There is also a separate area, with a table and chairs at the far side, framed by the floor-to-ceiling window, to sit and enjoy the view out over the countryside.
Also on this floor is a king-size double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath and hand-held shower, WC and wash basin. There is also another smart twin bedroom, again with en-suite shower room with shower, WC and wash basin.
There is a gated entrance, a gravelled driveway and a pretty courtyard with parking. Here you will also find a central fountain surrounded by flowering plants, plus a terrace outside the property that has a table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy drinks and meals in the open air.
You can also benefit from our on-site electric vehicle charging point. On arrival you will be greeted with locally collected whole milk as well as free range eggs from our own farm. We also have a small orchard on site for you to enjoy.
Complimentary use of a heated indoor swimming pool, all weather tennis court, gym and games room with a smart changing area for both males and females and the water is warm.
Surrounded by the rolling Yorkshire Wolds, Eastgate Farm is only ten minutes to the nearest beach. Located on a working farm, you will immediately feel relaxed by the rural nature of the properties. The small village of Thwing epitomises peacefulness and is extremely family friendly: the cottages are a five-minute walk from the village park and one minute away from a beautiful area for picnics.
Driffield is our closest town and is a busy market town set in the Yorkshire Wolds, with a lot on offer for its visitors. There are many pubs and cafes to choose from, providing quality food and drink from local suppliers. Visitors can enjoy shopping for local produce at the weekly Thursday market and there is also the yearly Driffield Show held at the Showground every summer.
Bridlington is a treasured coastal town, with lovely sandy beaches and plenty of attractions for all of the family. Filey, Scarborough and Flamborough also make for great days out on the coast. Slightly further afield, but perfect for day trips are Whitby, York, Beverley and Hull.
You will find wonderful walks on the nearby Yorkshire Wolds and we have two large stately homes (Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall) that are open to the public and have super playgrounds within ten minutes’ drive.
