Positioned in the hills of the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire sits this lovely Georgian house, just 5 miles to an abundance of beaches including: Newgale, Whitesands, Solva, Nolton, Little Haven and Abereiddy etc. Accessed via a long, private driveway you fall upon 1.5 acres of secluded landscaped gardens, lawns and play space, a secret haven waiting to be explored.
Inside has been decorated and furnished to the highest of standards, each room is bursting with character and traditional features, and furnished with a mix of classic, old and new, quality furniture, hand-made curtains and rugs and the bedrooms have hand-made mattresses, the best of linen and lovely views. The spacious, sunny well equipped kitchen is the hub of the house, with a lovely big, old oak, kitchen table at its heart next to the warm Aga, and the additional open plan sitting area is perfect for large groups to socialise whilst cooking up a feast. The sizeable, vaulted living room with big comfy sofas and fireside chairs has ample room for all guests, with its big fireplace with woodburning stove and rugged floors creating a warm cosy atmosphere for those chilly evenings in.
Ffynnon Gron is a charming property full of warmth and character with eight beautiful bedrooms, five doubles and three twins (one of each on the ground floor), six luxury bath/shower rooms, three of which are en suite (one being on the ground floor and also a separate shower room on the same floor). Children and babies are very welcome, and we can help by providing cots, stair gates, baby monitor, highchair, toys, etc.
The house also offers a fun packed games room and, a snug - well stocked with books, and a TV for kids gaming. In addition there are many more indoor and outdoor games supplied which should help keep the whole party entertained. Outside there are solid wood seats, tables and benches hidden away right outside the door, providing yet more space for all to enjoy. There is enough grass for games of cricket or 5-a-side footie and a smooth enough lawn for croquet. A gas barbecue is set in the sun warmed patio area, with lovely rattan tables and chairs for everyone.
With its National Park, 186 mile network of coastal footpaths, 58 beaches, an abundance of nature reserves to explore, sea and lake fishing, beautiful gardens, cycle routes and horse riding activities to suit all ages. If its adventure and excitement you are looking for there is coasteering, rock and rope climbing, archery, and shooting, mountain bike and Go karting, and every type of water sport you can think of. There is a big kids theme park and even a little kids activity park and zoo and an indoor aquatic centre, there are art galleries, pottery activities, castles and forts. So you have a choice: go home refreshed and chilled out, or invigorated and totally exhausted! Whichever sort of holiday you prefer, you will find a wonderful range of things to do.
There are also plenty of good places to eat and drink. Quaint old villages and the busier old towns have a wealth of pubs, cafes and restaurants to choose from. Closest to Ffynnon Gron is the Cross Inn, just an easy one mile stroll with its open fire, a good selection of wines and beers, and pub menu featuring local produce. If you don't want to venture out then you have the option to employ the in-house chef or choose from a menu of delicious home cooked food, and have it waiting for you upon arrival.
