Traditional cottage for four in West Wales

Set in a peaceful Carmarthenshire hamlet near the Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire borders, Gellideg is a traditional Welsh cottage full of warmth and character. With glorious countryside on the doorstep and Cardigan Bay just a short drive away, this charming cottage is the ideal base from which to explore West Wales, or just to relax and unwind.

Curl up by the log burner, get creative in the large country kitchen, or take a seat (or a hammock) in the pretty cottage garden and take in the lovely valley view. The balcony off the the master bedroom is the perfect spot for breakfast, birdwatching or stargazing, whilst the twin room with exposed beams and en suite offers a cool, restful space. Children will love playing in the willow wigwam in the enclosed garden, exploring local woodland, or paddling in the ford at the bottom of the lane. However you choose to spend your time at Gellideg, you will feel completely at home.

Venturing out, there is so much to see and do, with the river Teifi nearby and as many as 10 beautiful beaches within half an hour or so (look out for bottlenose dolphins and seals). Potter around Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan, enjoy fantastic local food, arts and crafts, discover castles and waterfalls. After all that fresh air, you’ll sleep soundly in comfortable beds, surrounded by wonderful silence.
