Sleeps 2 | 1 Double Bed | Dog Friendly This ‘Norfolk’ shepherd’s hut was built in 1898 and is a little different because it has a pitched roof, instead of the more common curved style. It helps snow to slide off, apparently. Whatever the reason, the result is that it’s really tall inside! Little Sheepwash is over 120 years old and still has much of its original interior panelling, which we didn’t want to paint over. It’s the only one of the huts with bare wood inside – but what a lovely patina! The huge space under the bed can accommodate two large dogs, and it’s where the shepherd sheltered the lambs all those years ago. Dogs are welcome and receive a doggy welcome hamper including treats and a new toy. The Wash Hut, a separate custom-built shepherd’s hut (no surprise there) comprises two shared washrooms and each has a shower and composting toilet. Guests receive a welcome pack including apple juice, wine, packet of biscuits, marshmallows, as well as tea, coffee and sugar. Breakfasts and Suppers can be pre-ordered; see the Booking Extras page within the Guest Info section of our website. The breakfast baskets feed two and contain bread, butter, milk, apple juice, sausages, bacon, eggs, baked beans and fresh tomatoes. A veggie option is also available. Suppers include Lasagne (meat or spinach & ricotta), Cottage Pie and Fish Pie, all served with seasonal vegetables. Enjoy campfire cooking over the firepit, and toasting those marshmallows under the night sky is an experience not to be missed!

Katherine and Andrew Graham are the owners of Wallops Wood in Hampshire. Katherine’s family have been farmers here since 1938 and the family diversified the farm estate into office lettings and light industrial units. In 2014 and 2018, farm barns on the site of the Old Hambledon Racecourse were converted to holiday cottages and a swimming pool complex. In 2022, Grenville at Wallops Wood opened and comprises three beautiful holiday houses in a leafy woodland site. The houses are accessible accommodation with wetrooms and have a home-from-home atmosphere, with the emphasis on ‘access for all’ irrespective of age or physical ability. The family acquired the Shepherd’s Huts Glamping business located at Wallops Wood in February 2023. Eight Shepherd’s Huts are situated in a secluded meadow and surrounded by ancient woodland within the South Downs National Park in Hampshire. Two of the huts have wood-fired hot tubs, and two have en-suite facilities. Other huts are perfect for couples and families, and dogs are welcome too. Katherine and Andrew look forward to welcoming you to Wallops Wood in beautiful Hampshire.
